Job Description
As a Swim Instructor at Superior Stingray Swimming, you will lead swimming programs and offer both individual and group lessons designed for children across different age groups and proficiency levels. This position is perfect for students who possess a strong love for swimming, exceptional communication abilities, and a natural talent for motivating young swimmers while fostering a deep appreciation and respect for the water. We are currently seeking a dedicated and self-driven Swim Instructor to become part of our team and contribute to the success of our Superior Stingray Swimming in Medford, OR.
Responsibilities
• Provide swim instruction to students across all age groups and skill levels
• Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment for all students
• Evaluate and monitor student progress, offering feedback and guidance as necessary
Requirements
• Prior experience working with students of varying ages and skill sets, preferably in an educational or instructional role
• Proficient swimming abilities and knowledge of different swim strokes and techniques
• Comprehensive understanding of water safety and survival techniques
• CPR & First Aid Certified (infant, child & adult)
• Excellent communication, organizational, time management, and innovative teaching skills
• Effective behavior management capabilities, with the aptitude to handle challenging situations with composure and professionalism
• Background in childcare or sports coaching is advantageous, showcasing expertise in working with children in a structured setting
• A genuine love for swimming and a passion for working with children
