New Swipe Flashcard Feature Unveiled at Quizlet

By Danielle Wirsansky on October 13, 2019

There are very few college students that have not heard of or used Quizlet during their studies. The platform has saved many a life (and even more grades) as a valuable study tool. Now Quizlet is rolling out a new feature to help make your studying even more effective and efficient: a swipe flashcard feature!

The way the feature works is that all the material you need to study is presented on flashcards. Each card is presented to you one by one. If you feel like you know the material well enough, you swipe right on it. If you feel like you need to study that card again, you swipe left so that it gets shuffled back into the deck.

“Our features enable students to better express what they’re learning and enjoy the study experience, which is a goal that has been in Quizlet’s DNA from the very beginning,” said Andrew Sutherland, founder and CTO of Quizlet. “Today, technology has brought Quizlet to reach new levels of accessibility and ease for students to learn to the fullest.”

By allowing this customization, students are able to study smarter so that they can better learn the material that they need to.

Students can also create custom study sets, and a new smart scanning feature allows you to scan in your notes and other study materials and then highlight main ideas, underline key concepts, and bold important terms to study.

“With these new features, Quizlet is making studying more efficient and customizable to give students even more confidence as they prepare to ace their tests this year,” said Matthew Glotzbach, CEO of Quizlet. “And 92% of our users already say that Quizlet helps them get better grades, but we’re always trying to find new ways to help students get those consistent wins and feel successful in their learning journey.”
