The Trend—Bundle Up In A Toggle
Do not be fooled by the past weeks’ weather of bizarre warmth, it’s going to get colder. And although I enjoyed being able to once again pull out my fall sweater and not have my fingers frozen numb, winter is coming! (Yes, another Game of Thrones reference) I am excited to see all the new cozy and (hopefully) colorful coats that will be dotting New York City’s streets once again.
When it comes to trends, I get my inspiration from a variety of sources, the streets of NYC or browsing through magazines. But this week’s tip comes from Who What Wear, one of my favorite fashion sites. They’ve recently brought to my attention to the toggle coat
Toggle coats are known for the infamous wooden hook and button detail. But brands like Alexander Wang and Kate Spade are creating new styles that can fit multiple looks.
There is a toggle for any personality. Just take a look at these variations.

For those of you living on the edge, Alexander Wang’s creation is the perfect match. His straight-lined, all black toggle will harden any look.
DKNY’s Puffer Coat in Red is fun and bubbly for those who enjoy bright colors.
A.P.C. offers a reversed sheepskin coat, which reminds me of to the nomads of the ice age. But this coat is sure to keep you warm and toasty while simultaneously looking fashionable.
Without a doubt, Black Sheep’s soft black toggle coat is the epitome of chic style.
Kate Spade’s Allie Coat is the ultimate definition of luxury. It’s bright red color and flush brown fur offers that fabulous Aubrey Hepburn-esque style.
But wait! Boys can Toggle too!
Men can try on the lovelies from Banana Republic, Steven Alan, Rugby and Vans.
