I could not have asked for more from Colette working with my children but more time! She has the patience of a Saint, she never stops moving - whatever the children tried to shift their attention she went with them and then applied it to the lesson, and she's truly a pleasure for our family to spend time with. Knowledgeable, flexible, and genuinely kind. She is an exceptional opportunity for any family or student.

I was impressed by Colette?s knowledge of ASL and felt that she helped me grasp the sentence structure of the language better. Since the purpose of the lesson was in preparation for a job interview that was partially in ASL, role playing with responses to various interview questions was necessary. Colette did a good job of getting me to practice my receptive skills by not speaking and signing the interview questions only. She also asked me the questions I prepared in random order which provided me more of a challenge and she suggested some variations in my interview responses. I learned several new words during the tutoring session and incorporated some of them into the interview I had with a deaf individual after the lesson was over. The lesson helped me a great deal because I shortly after my interview, I found out that I got the job!

My session with Colette was great! She was so patient and understanding about my sign language needs and made me feel comfortable about my signing level. Looking forward to my next session with her!

Colette taught me sign language using some poetry I had selected. She was very flexible adjusting to my current level of skill.

She has been working with my 10 year old and she keeps her interested, engaged, and excited about each session.
